Steel Weave Raised Beds

Our steel weave raised beds are easy to install and can be enjoyed for years

After working hard to create the perfect design and installation concept, we are excited to announce our new steel weave raised beds, available in multiple sizes and bespoke dimensions.

Our UK handcrafted, luxury steel weave raised beds offer a unique and contemporary design to showcase your flowers, fruit and vegetables in your garden.

Whether you are a landscape architect, garden designer, contractor or private client, our steel weave raised beds are designed and fabricated to fit into a number of different landscapes, perfectly complimenting the surroundings.

Like our self-installation steel edging, we offer them in our easy-to-build, self-installation system which you can find in the video below. Our concept is simple, you place an order, your panels and pins arrive and before you know it you have a beautiful steel woven raised bed.

How to Install Your Steel Weave Raised Beds

Your steel weave raised bed can be delivered in 0.6m, 1.2m or 1.8m wide panels that range in depth depending on your order. Popular depths include 200mm, 300mm and 400mm.

Tools Required: Lump Hammer

Interlock the Panels – With our effortless panel interlocking system, you can install your raised bed in minutes with each panel numbered to ensure you know which panels are for the straight connections, to extend your bed length, and which panels are to form each end to create the corners.

Slot the Pins – Once your panels are interlocked and lined up, simply slot your solid 500mm long x 16mm round pin through the tube connectors.

Do this on each interlocking and intermediate tube connector until the bed is self-supporting. Once every pin has been slotted through the interlocking tube connectors, square and straighten up your bed and then knock each pin into the ground.

If your bed is on a hard standing such as paving slabs or concrete, then drill a 18mm hole and resin your pins in the ground.

Please note: four shorter pins are provided to use for each self-supporting corner where it is inaccessible for a hammer to knock them in the ground (see photo below).  If you do not need to use the whole length of the pin, then cut with appropriate PPE using an angle grinder with a metal cutting disc or hack saw.

Apply Membrane & Fill with Topsoil

We recommend inserting a waterproof membrane (you can purchase from most building suppliers or garden centres) around the sides, before filling with mounds of topsoil to hold it in place.

Membrane will prevent any unwanted topsoil spilling out the small pockets where the weave intertwines, alternatively you can plant herbs or flowers in them which make your raised bed even more unique adding colour to your weave. Once your bed is full of topsoil, you can start planting!

Our woven raised beds are made for longevity and zero maintenance so you can enjoy them for years to come, watching your plants establish or using them each year for delicious fruits and vegetables!

Why Our Steel Weave Raised Beds?

Steel weave raised beds hold a number of advantages over more typical timber and plastic options.

Speed

With only a lump hammer required, our beds are faster to install than other raised beds such as timber and plastic, reducing installation time by at least 75%.

Strength

Made from solid steel and available in Corten, galvanised and stainless steel, our beds are built to last a lifetime with zero maintenance and will not rot like timber or degrade like plastic.

Build

Unlike build it yourself from scratch steel woven raised beds, our panel system is not only smart with its design, but also smart to look at, with a tidy frame around each panel, showcasing the weave whilst eliminating any sharp edges making your beds completely family-friendly.

Lifespan

Built to last with multiple finish options, up to x10 longer than your standard raised bed made from other materials, such as timber.

Design

Our smart design is guaranteed to save you long-term costs, with the delivery in small panels for easy handling and haulage, reducing the weight and in turn reducing carbon emissions. We have taken out the guesswork, making your installation even faster with numbered panels for interlocking quickly and efficiently.

Please contact our team to discuss your steel weave options, as we offer a range of sizes and lengths depending on your requirements.
