Like our steel weave raised beds, these beds come in an easy-to-build, self-installation system, which requires only a few simple hand tools to build. Once you place an order, you’ll receive solid steel panels and pins to install your raised beds in no time.
How to Install Your Solid Steel Raised Beds
Due to our uniquely designed self-installation and numbered panel system, installation of your solid steel raised bed couldn’t be easier, and all you’ll need is a lump hammer.
As standard, each of the panels can come in 0.6m, 1.2m or 1.8m wide sections, with depths ranging from 200 to 400mm depending on your requirements.
Tools Required: Lump Hammer
Line Up the Panels – Each panel is numbered to ensure you know which are needed for the straight connectors, which extend the length of the bed, and which panels are needed to create the corners.
Lock the Panels – Once each panel is lined up, all you need to do is slot the 500mm x 16mm pins through the tube connectors and use your hammer to secure them into the ground. For self-supporting corners, we also provide shorter pins which can be cut down to size where necessary using appropriate PPE and a hacksaw or an angle grinder.
If you’ve opted to place your bed on hard standing, such as patios or paving slabs, secure it by drilling an 18mm hole into the concrete and then resin your pins into the ground for added support.
Apply the Topsoil – To ensure your topsoil remains in places and doesn’t spill over the edges, we’d recommend applying a strong layer of waterproof membrane down the sides of the bed before filling.

Our fruit cage frames are decorative, strong and provide a stunning feature to your steel weave raised beds.
They are available in 2 options:
16mm round solid steel curved arch frame.
20mm square box frame.
Frame heights vary from 500mm for strawberries up to 1.8m for raspberries.
