Overview
This high-quality supply-only deer fencing can be supplied flat-packed to weld on-site to create your continuous estate fencing. If you do not have welding facilities, we also offer our supply-only bolt-together fence panels or deer fencing installation services. Like all of our products, our supply-only deer fencing is manufactured in our UK fabrication unit and can be fully bespoke to meet your requirements.
Our specialist deer fencing is not only higher than our traditional estate fencing, but it also contains more rails, which means fewer gaps. Fewer gaps are imperative,as they prevent the deer from leaping over the fence, as well as squeezing through or under the fence.
Our deer fencing comes in a range of heights and number of rails:
- 1.6 metres high with 7 rails
- 1.8 metres high with 8 rails
- 2 metres high with 9 rails
We can add or reduce rail quantities if required.
Field, garden, and property entrances must also utilise deer-proof gates, since electric fences, such as that used to control livestock, are often ineffective against deer and may sustain damage should a deer attempt to run through it. 2.5mm high tensile galvanised lamb wire or 6mm round bar are an effective way to reduce our rail spacings further, as roe deer are able to squeeze through gaps as little as 30cm.
Specifications
Rail Sizing: All our fencing includes a 20mm solid round top rail with the option of 25mm x 6mm flat rails, 16mm solid round or 20mm solid round lower rails.
Intermediate Posts: Our most popular intermediate posts are 40mm x 8mm and will suit most residential and commercial projects. However, if you require further structural support to help with cattle or other larger animals we have the option to supply 40mm x 10mm and 50mm x 10mm intermediate posts.
Intermediate Post Tops: We offer a range of styles, including Flat, Chamfered, Round or Cheshire tops. Please refer to our Intermediate Post Tops section above for pictures and further information.
Finish Options include:
- Bare Metal (left to rust)
- Painted (Zinc phosphate black primer sprayed in the unit before dispatch. Tins of black satin topcoat finish supplied with your order to apply after installation, thinners excluded). Alternative colours are available, please state a RAL number.
- Galvanised and painted (available on request).
Accessories
Thrust Plates: We advise having a thrust plate on every 3rd post, which can be concreted into the ground to give your fence more rigidity. 100mm square thrust plates are welded on your intermediate posts below ground level.
If you are conscious of ground stability or have cattle, please select more thrust plates.
Pet and Livestock (lamb) Proofing: Choose from our 6 mm ornate bar or 2.5 mm high tensile wire between the bottom 2 or 3 rail gaps if your pets need keeping in, or you need to prevent livestock such as lambs from escaping. Please refer back to our specification drawings to see the distance between each rail if uncertain. Note – Supply of high-tensile wire excluded from price.
