Overview

Our self-installation retainer edging combines the elegance and durability of our steel edging with the height required to provide a highly effective retention solution for your land.

Like our standard steel edging, retainer edging is fabricated in the UK and can be installed by yourself, a contractor, or our team will be happy to come and install it for you. Our retainer edging can be assembled using basic tools, with our stud and plate system to allow for a seamless connection.

Thickness Options:

• 6mm: The most rigid and robust steel retaining edge. 
• 5mm: A good middle ground for longer sweeping curves whilst maintaining rigidity for straight runs.
• 3mm: A more flexible retaining edge, with greater flexibility for tighter curves.

Each thickness option comes in 3-metre lengths.

Height Options:

• 600mm
• 500mm
• 400mm

Steel Types

CorTen Steel Retainer Edging

CorTen steel is developed specifically for outdoor use, and is very popular with garden designers and landscapers due to natural copper, rust and bronze patina. This patina layer helps to protect the edging from the elements, offering extreme durability and longevity.

This type of steel requires no upkeep and will last a lifetime. It is highly resistant to corrosion, with excellent tensile strength, which allows it to keep its shape even under the heavy pressure of cars and livestock.

Mild Steel Retainer Edging

Mild steel is low-carbon, which makes it much easier to weld and form as needed for your space. This steel has incredible durability and can easily withstand the weight of people and machines.

It develops a golden patina over time.

How does Retaining Edging fix together?

This edging uses a unique system that allows each piece of steel to be seamlessly connected with a steel plate, stud bolt and nut connection. Only basic tools are required to see your edging installed.

We advise that high torque power tools such as impact drivers are not used during installation.

How will my Steel Retainer Edging arrive?

At Steel Landscaping Co., we endeavour to get your items delivered as quickly as possible. All our items are made to order, so depending on the size of your order, delivery times may vary.

We aim to deliver your goods to you within 14 days of accepting your order. We will do our best to fit our delivery schedule around your requirements. If you have a specific deadline, please get in touch with us.

We recommend that you do not plan your installation date until the product has been delivered.

We typically deliver goods using our preferred haulage company. Your order will be delivered on pallets. Please ensure that you have the appropriate offloading facilities to take a rigid lorry with the correct machine to lift your pallet off the lorry. 

Each pallet will be under 1000kg. Alternatively, if you do not have access to lifting machinery, then we ask that you have 2 competent people to hand-lift your products from the delivery lorry. 

If access to your delivery address is restricted, please let us know when speaking to our team.

Deliveries are made from Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays and weekends.
