Bee Positive, Bee Kind, Bee Aware Garden, RHS Malvern

Background

In addition to our work at RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2023, we also contributed to the Gold Award-winning garden Bee Positive, Bee Kind, Bee Aware garden at RHS Malvern, earlier in the spring.

Designed by the renowned garden design duo Rick and Katie Gentle, the garden was put together to showcase bee keeping, the growth of fruits and vegetables and cooking, which looked to promote the relationship between these three processes.

Brief

The garden contains a range of pollinator-friendly plants and flowers, with the likes of hawthorn, fennel, thyme and foxgloves taking centre stage.  The designers of the garden were also very keen to utilise repurposed materials, which could be used later on in future projects.

This meant that steel was an ideal material to feature given its strength and durability.

What We Did

We were asked to contribute several of our steel products to the garden, including one of our newest products, the steel weave raised beds and one of our best sellers, the steel edging.

One of the highlights of the entire garden was the bespoke steel bee gate that we designed and developed specially for this garden.

The gate features a stunning honeycomb design, which we complemented with wonderful white flower motifs, which perfectly contrasted with the gold patina of the weathered steel.
